María de los Ángeles is a lawyer from the Universidad de los Andes and is currently a partner at the law firm Santos Abogadas. Her professional practice focuses on the area of labour law, with experience in labour litigation, corporate day-to-day advice and collective bargaining. Her professional experience also includes her role as Legislative Advisor at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

Additionally, and as part of her academic development, María de los Ángeles was a professor of Labour Law at the Universidad del Desarrollo.
