Massiel Castañeda is an associate on our Energy Law team.

She graduated with highest distinction from the Universidad de Chile. During her time as a student, she served as a teaching assistant in different subjects: Economic Law and Competition Law with Professor Nicole Nehme; Commercial Law with Professor Ignacio Araya; Constitutional Law with Professors Enrique Navarro and Cristóbal Osorio; and Legal Research Methodology with Professors Eric Palma and María Francisca Elgueta. She was also a teaching assistant for the Moot Madrid Seminar taught by Professor María Agnes Salah. Currently, she collaborates with the University Pedagogy and Legal Didactics Unit at the same institution.

She also participated in the 2023 International Arbitration and Commercial Law Moot (“Moot Madrid”) and was a member of the Student Congress on Law and Economics as well as the Student Congress on International Law.

Before joining the Energy team at FerradaNehme, she worked as a paralegal in the Competition and Regulation area at our firm and, prior to that, as a corporate paralegal at Tresmontes Lucchetti S.A.
