Aníbal is amember of the Complex Litigation and Consumer Law practice areas ofFerradaNehme. As for his academic background, he holds a law degree withhighest distinction from the Universidad de Chile and a master’s degree fromthe same university, where he graduated as the best student of his class. Inaddition, he has a Diploma in Trade Policy from the Center for InternationalStudies of the University of Chile and the ICECOM certification granted by theSpanish Association of Compliance.
With respectto his professional experience, Aníbal has acquired extensive experience in thedefense of the interests of various clients, in matters such as constructionlaw, class actions, liquidation and reorganization of companies, among others,before ordinary courts and arbitration tribunals, as well as before agenciessuch as the National Consumer Service or the Undersecretary ofTelecommunications. In addition, he has worked as an actuary inproceedings before arbitration tribunals under the Arbitration and MediationCenter of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce.
In addition,Aníbal has been a professor of Civil Law courses and elective courses onDrafting of Legal Documents and Compliance at the Universidad Alberto Hurtado,as well as having previously worked as an assistant professor in varioussubjects at the Universidad de Chile.
Aníbal hasauthored and co-authored several publications, including his most recent book “AtracciónConcursal en la Ley N°20.720. Aplicación a los procedimientos dereorganización y liquidación” (Insolvency Attraction in Law No. 20.720. Application to reorganization andliquidation proceedings), a chapter for the Chambers and Partners titled: “Collectiveredress & class actions 2023” as well as the chapter titled: “Practicalcross-border insights into consumer protection law” for the InternationalComparative Legal Guide - Consumer Protection 2023.
