Juan Ignacio is part of the Technology, Competition and Economic Regulation areas of FerradaNehme. His experience in information privacy impact assessments, consumer issues and personal data protection has allowed him to address a wide range of matters, including reports on open banking, advice on innovation in means of payment and personal data protection, merger operations, and advice on investigations by the National Economic Prosecutor's Office, among others.
He studied at Universidad de Chile and recently completed a Diploma in Antitrust at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, with highest distinction. Early on he showed his interest in the aforementioned practice areas, being assistant professor of "Collaboration, Regulation and Competition: Law and New Economy" and "Economic Law", taught by our partner Nicole Nehme; and even being assistant professor of the Regulation and Competition Center (RegCom) of the School of Law. However, his academic interest is not restricted to these subjects, as he also worked as an assistant professor in Administrative Law and in the Center for Computer Law.
Before joining FerradaNehme, Juan Ignacio was an attorney for the Competition and Corporate Law areas of Cariola Diez Pérez Cotapos. In addition to law, he has theatrical interests, participating in "La Máquina del Arte: Investigación y Creación Teatral" for his training in this area.
